Discipleship Part 2
We now move to the "Words" of Beloved Almighty Lord Jesus Christ on "discipleship" in "The Gospel According To Mark"
Mark 8:34-38:
34. "And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me."
35. "For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it."
36. "For what shall if profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?"
37. "Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?"
38. "Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels."
Mark 9:49-50:
49. "For everyone shall be salted with fire, and every sacrifice shall be salted with salt."
50. "Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his saltness, wherewith will ye season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace one with another."
Mark 10:29-31:
29. "And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel's,"
30. "But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life."
31. "But many that are first shall be last; and the last first."
Again in closing, I suggest that you read Mark Chapters 8-10 in their entirety for greater understanding.
Thank you for allowing me to share. I pray that this is a source of continued enlightenment and encouragement.
