Who Are We As Christians? Part 15

Colossians Chapter 4:

2. "Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;"

3. "Withal praying also for us, that God would open unto us a door of utterance (for the word), to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds:

4 "That I may make it manifest (plain), as I ought (should) speak."

5. "Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time."

6. "Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man."

12. "Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you, always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete (fully assured) in all the will of God."

14. "Luke, the beloved physician, and Demas, greet you."

16. "And when this epistle is read among you, cause that it be read also in the church of the Laodiceans; and that ye likewise read the
epistle from Laodicea."

17. "And say to Archippus, Take heed to the ministry which thou hast received in the Lord, that thou fulfil it."

18. "The salutation by the hand of me Paul. Remember my bonds. Grace
be with you. Amen."

Beloved Apostle Paul desired that his "Epistle" be read in the church of the Laodiceans and also from Laodecia. I was reminded that the church of Laodecia is one of the 7 churches that Beloved Almighty Lord Jesus Christ addresses in Revelation. This gives us some insight as to why Beloved Apostle Paul desired the reading of his "Epistle".

Whenever I read "The Revelation" to the 7 churches, I read them as though I am a member of each of the churches and accept both rebuke and chastening if it applies and more importantly, the 7 promises given by Beloved Almighty Lord Jesus Christ.

Revelation 3:14-22:

14. "And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning (origin) of the creation of God;"

15. "I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot."

16. "So then because thou art lukewarm (barely warm), and neither cold nor hot, I will spue (vomit) thee out of my
mouth."

17. "Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods; and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:"

18. "I counsel (advise) thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment (clothing), that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eye-salve, that thou mayest see."

19. "As many as I love, I rebuke (point out faults) and chasten (correct): be zealous therefore and repent."

20. "Behold, I stand at the door and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me."

21. "To him that overcometh (wins the victory) will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne."

22. "He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches."
